The famous RED INTAKES

Ok ok Im about to be ragged by my BUDDIES here on this. I finally decided to use the torque reader correctly to see how it works. I started yesterday w local temps at 86 degrees ambient as per computer and intake was 116 degrees when ignited the car, i said sheit its hot. Anyway as I drove i notice that the intake degrees kept on falling and the faster i went the cooler the air flow into the intake till it matched the ambient temp within a few minutes.

Now mind you the scoops move fwd around 2 inches from the original OEM intake so it will scoop cooler air or better said pushed air. For whatever reasons I sent the torque readings to my email and the attachments did not go thru will try it again during week. Ok Im ready for the scoops bashing!!LOL

Axel, I have seen the quips regarding the red scoops, but never knew what it was all about. Can you please post a pic or direct me to a previous post?
Thanks.

My friend had similar readings with his neon green scoops amigo so I'm not all that surprised.

This might help.

Note from my post with a Torque screen shot showing basically identical temp results at the MAF vs ambient temps without scoops ...

That data is all well and good but it doesn't take into consideration that the air is attracted to the color red....

Would they work better if the car is red as well?

Studies prove this statement is true.

It also works well if the driver looks like.
