Good, bad and ugly

Just got back from taking my daughter to Cambridge Uni Open Day and the title describes some of my experiences of the journey from Somerset and back........

Good - seeing some very nice motors on the journey - Astons - especially a Rapide seen on M25 and also a frozen grey M3 which is stunning in the flesh - seen on the M11

Bad - following on from the thread about plain clothes police I saw a silver/grey plain A4 pulled a van over on the M4 at Swindon - not seen one of those before! Yet another make to look out for!

Ugly - and this really, really, really pi**ed me off. On the M25 this PM and some stupid cow in a golf starts pulling over on me - OK may have been in blind spot etc. - so I give the horn a blast, she's still moving over - I can't go anywhere. Keep on the horn, eventually she wakes up, sees me and takes avoiding action, looking all panicked - then I notice that she's only wearing bloody headphones!! - so I make it perfectly clear to the stupid bitch what I think of her with what I feel was a perfect display of hand signals etc.

Now I'm not normally given to firing expletives and gestures at other road users but I could not believe what this bloody idiot stupid f**king woman was doing.

Rant over ........ and breathe.

I see loads of people wearing headphones whilst driving.

Can't believe people think it's ok and safe.

Just like the fools who have BOOM BOOM BOOM full blast on the stereo!!!!!!! Apart from the headphone wearers have consideration for other regarding noise pollution.

I see people using mobile phones whilst driving every day. I'm sure we all do. Very dangerous. Using headphones also.

I'll comment on the bad comment then. Really an A4, what type, did you see much detail of possible police strobes, aerials etc.

Don't think i've seen an A4 unmarked before.

Definitely an A4, had lights going - at high level in rear window - it had pulled someone and was on hard shoulder. It was on a 60 plate.

Worst I had was some dozy cow doing her make up and eyelashes at 80mph on the motorway, hanging on the back off my car!!?!?

She got off the same junction as me and when stopped at the lights I told her what I thought (no swearing or aggression) her reply....."fuck off, I'm late for work".

The ignorance and stupidity of some people astounds me.

seen lots of people driving with head phones on?....don't understand why they don't just use the car's stereo?!...

And it may be me but I see this more often than not with very expensive cars that really should come with Bluetooth or at the very least if the owner can afford the car surely they can afford to get it fitted?

Because it is just a CD player and they can't afford the £40 it would cost them to wire their ipod in. Therefore they just use headphones.

Same applies to some but re: Bluetooth. They have their phone headphnes in so they can listen to tunes and then take a call as well.

It's only the poor that do this

Only exception is a hardcore motor with no stereo fitted ie race car, super legerra etc

My track car also doesn't have a stereo...

My iphone headphones if I get a phone call.. Surely that's safer then holding up a phone?!?!?

And defo can hear if someone beeps me..

Just got back from a weekend in Scotland.

Good: The stunning views of the Scottish highlands on the way up/down.

Bad: The rain. Having a ride in a RR Phantom - which was hired by the groom.

Ugly: Glasgows horrible city centre one way system. It's shockingly bad to navigate around.
