I ask as I'm 24 with 3 years NCB and no claims and still pay over 1k for a 2 litre But live in London...

That's wild. I understand postcode has to play a factor but didn't think it would have such an impact on your premium.

Mines 730 from axa just turned 22 with 4yrs ncb live quite close to places where cars n vans get stolen! Yes typical N.Ireland! Lol

I worked over there for years....great place!

Has its bad areas like everywhere else but I've never met more friendly people.

That's only because when they get someone to help steal the car they get too offended at being called Ken at the end of every sentence and it all goes wrong.

Postcodes matter a lot.

I had an Edinburgh postcode before for Livingston and when I moved to East Kilbride(Glasgow postcode) my premium and other online quotes instantly went up by 40%.

I'm living between two houses now and have my car registered back to Livingston, but it seems Aberdeen between the AB24 and AB25 postcode is two of the lowest risk areas for insurance according to an insurance report I read recently.

I should switch it over.

Insurance quotes are random. I can't work out how they come up with so variable figures that change year on year.

If you want to see why insurance is going up, Panorama was good the other night.

im paying £616 for me 28 and the wife 25 on my 335d, good postcode with LV. ive got 10 years ncb.

Putting the wife on there made it cheaper than on my own, have you put a named driver on there? Usually brings the cost down. Your not fronting the insurance either
