You work in the area? Stop me next time to say hi.
LOL i just someone how knew you'd be part of this forum. i almost feel disappointed when I'm late for work as i try and decipher the sound of your setup.

it's a nice sounding setup you got! any drone on the exhaust when cruising?

I work just across the parkade from where you park. i'll holler next time i see you.

Thanks man. Several people already told me they want my exhaust when I do part out my car haha. No drone, its a very refined sound. Similar to the PE but also diffferent.

Angry Hi Guys! New here!

Have an 08 335xi coupe that I messed up yesterday from Raincouver... Was raining so bad didnt see this curb sticking out so I hit it pretty bad lost my front drivers side tire... Got that replaced right away but now I noticed my wheel is not centered and is leaning towards the right and when I drive with the wheel centered its goes pulls towards the left other wise it will pull to the right.... Do you think I could have done major damage from hitting the curb???? Or hopefully will an alignment job to the trick??? Thanks!!

This happened to me just a few weeks ago. Hit the curb and my steering wheel wasn't straight. I got lucky and just needed an alignment, hopefully its the same for you.

Thanks G! I hope so, how off was your steering wheel? Where did you end up getting the alignment done? Thx!

excited to get my 335i back from the dealership.. They've had it for a month now replacing the turbos, and blower motor. Downside of having 3rd party warranty... but on a bright side, they put in me in a 2016 428XI GranCoupe. Has all the bells and whistles with 3500km on the odo. Should be getting my car back near the end of this week. the guys at Langley BMW have been pretty good, first time dealing with them. I refuse to go back to Brian Jessel. What a bunch of clowns

Thanks,

Thanks,
mine didn't have the original warrenty anymore. I bought it used and wasn't a CPO but was still able to get the 3rd party through Brian Jessel. So all the work had to go through SAL insurance.

OK thanks. I also recently bought non-CPO from an independent dealer in North Van as well as 3rd party warranty.

I merely wanted to understand others' experiences with this type of warranty.

My dealings with Langley BMW have been excellent. Its the insurance company that drags their asses to get things done. Sending out underwriters and stuff to go over claims and back and forth and back and forth. It really shouldn't take a month to replace both turbos, blower motor and tensioners. Only reason i didn't raise hell was because they set me up in a pretty nice ride so i didn't complain.

How was your dealings with SAL? I'm pretty sure my water pump or t-stat just went as the car has been giving me overheating issues.

I will be towing it to a shop tomorrow but wanted to choose my own indy shop to get the work down.

Did you take it back to the dealer that sold you the warranty?

Ponyboy SAL has been a pain in the ass. If it wasn't for them dragging their ass around it would have been much quicker to get the repairs done. I didn't bring it back to the dealership that sold me ( BJ) they were a joke to deal with, just even with setting up an appointment and trying to get a courtesy car. I took it to Langley BMW, waited for one of their fleet cars which turned out being a 2016 428xi grancoupe.

Dealership diagnosed, needed new tensioners, turbos and blower motor. SAL had to send under writers out to confirm repair was indeed needed. Then had to wait for them to do the paperwork, approve the claim, then give BMW the go ahead to repair.

All in all, its been over a month now since they have had my car.

Wow that sucks. I can't recall the name of my 3P ins. company, I'll check my paperwork when I get home. I may need to get my driver's side seatbelt extender fixed - the belt isnt catching anymore.

Thanks!

Good luck with the seat belt extender. I tried to get that repaired but because its not a safety feature but a convenience thing it is not covered. I bought it back to the dealership within the first week of it and they refused to fix it. Also went back to BJ about the metal rattle and was told it was normal. Which in return, turned out to be the waste gate rattle that ended up resulting in both turbos getting replaced. Got the call, car is done now and will pick up tomorrow. Besides the $300 deductable and the cost of a new belt, wonder how much i'm going to get stiffed with on the other misc "not covered" parts.

I had to buy the seatbelt extender for my passenger side used from the US a few years ago as well. Common problem unfortunately.

Forgot about the deductible. It might just be cheaper to buy the part and have my shop to install it.

i just disabled mine with coding. There are ways to fix it, there is a repair kit that BMW issued to fix these things. There are lots of DIY fixes with using a hair straightener on youtube you can try too
