Woah shouldve sold your car privately first before getting the ISF or whatever car you wanted. You would've gotten atleast 3-5k more if you did. Sick car though

I tried for a 2 weeks between here and local stuff and people and friends asking around and blah blah blah. Found this 08 with 4,800 miles and decent price and just decided to hell with it. Also got the trade in credit which redcued my sales tax by $1,400 which I wouldnt have gotten with private sale. Didnt do the ideal thing for most money, but couldnt find a buyer so I said hell with it to trade in.

One of my good friends has an 08 ISF. We swapped cars for a few days. Initially I was stoked to be in it. Sounds amazing, brakes way better than the 335, transmission is miles ahead of the 335i. Handles better too. However after the first day little things about the ISF started to bug me.
The ride quality is very poor. I've driven the E90 M3 and there is no comparison. No reason for the Lexus to have such a bad/harsh ride. The car is quite a bit smaller inside, and harder to see out of.

In the end I was glad to back in my car. Oh yea we ran the two cars and mine was slightly faster every time, but we live at altitude so turbo cars are much faster than NA up here.

From what I understand the 2010 or 2011 ISF had a significant redo of suspension added LSD chaged interior etc improving it a lot. I haven't driven one of those yet.

Great upgrade! I really like the IS-F and it's menacing looks. I can't imagine the ride being any harsher than my E92 with KW's. I always like IS-F's and the newer models are supposed to be even better.

Great upgrade! I'm a big fan of the IS-F, it's a hoot to drive in stock form.

I also had an '08 335 with a plethora of issues, and also went the NA V8 route. As much as I loved my 335, I do not miss it. Maybe if I wouldn't gotten a less problematic unit, my opinion would be a bit different, but I just still prefer bigger NA engines. Too bad they're going the way of the dodo soon.... Very sad panda.

Great deal on a great car, can't knock your choice. Those ISFs have burly power up top, and like all Lexus's they don't break....just doesn't happen.

Wow, what a sad title for a thread....I'm planning on keeping mine forever. I'll buy a new car, but keep the 335i, because I purchased new and it was paid off more than 3 yrs. ago....

good luck with the Lexus, that will be trouble-free motoring at least....

Yeah '11s were revised with new suspension, LSD, and I believe steering. Result on track was ISF equaled to M3. ISF is nice but new ISF is better

Ya, I was looking at '11s but found this low mileage one and got it. Everyone talks about the harsh ride in the '08 and in reviews and stuff. I see no problem with it. It feels better than all my friends cars with coil overs set to handle good. Some of them shake rattle and chatter your teeth. Idk, guess some bumps don't bother me. I personally think my 335 with reg sport suspension and run flats have a harsher ride.

I'm at 5,500 ft elevation, so up here the 335i can hang with an ISF all day. I feel ya about the constant repair issues, but at a mile high, turbos are where it's at!

Sorry to here your Bimmer was so unreliable, but sometimes individual cars can be like that from any manufacturer.

IS-F is a nice ride. Have no doubt you will enjoy it. Congrats!

Ya, the ISFs dyno like 360-370 stock. Easily hang able or beatable by a number of the FBO tuned 335s on here.

I wanted an '11, but would have had to pay $10,000 more for a '11 with similar miles just for the LSD.
