Where do you order brake pads and rotors from?

Hey guys, my front brake pads and rotors need replacing and I was wondering where you guys order yours from? I was looking around on the sponsor sites but shipping + duties is a killer (especially due to the rotors weight). Does anyone know any Canadian websites where I can order from?

I'm going to DIY to skip out on installation costs so I've been looking at upgraded rotors and pads (maybe Stoptech).

Thanks!

Best bang for your buck is bimmian.com

I got Stoptech drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads for my rears and will be installing this Friday. Quality looks top notch.

Speak to Steve and tell him Nelio referred you.

Btw, full disclosure: my shipping experience with them was absolutely horrendous and the vendor (HP) even forgot to put 2/4 things in my packages box :s not completely there fault, but being the provider they have to take some part in the blame. Knowing I was super pissed and waiting 1.5months, Steve rectified the situation by giving me a killer deal that I couldn't refuse. By far the cheapest local I'd say. Pick it up in Oshawa direct and you save shipping too.

Bimmian blows. Steve lied to me many, many times about part arrival date. Never buying anything from them again.

If you're looking for OEM, Mike @ Maranello is your best best. Paid $320 for rears: rotors pads and sensor.

You can go to JRP, they have a shop just off the QEW in Mississauga. They have Stoptech rotors and pads in stock and their pricing is very competitive. They carry other brands as well. Check them out at jrponline.com, but you're better just to drop by their store.

I've been getting the maxbimmer discount since the e36! I've said it before, if Mike leaves Maranello, I'm selling my car.

Similar thing happened to me, exactly why I said full disclosure.

Only good thing he did was drastically reduce the price to make me happy. I saved a lot of $$ and in the end that kind of made up for all the bs.

I'm on Stoptech rears and love them. They are not only functional but beautiful. I got them slotted/drilled and ceramic pads. Dust is lower and response feels much nicer especially at higher speeds.

Just thought I would update...I ordered all my stuff from RMP Motors. After talking to someone there (can't remember their name) I decided to go with EBC pads instead of Stoptech. I also got cross drilled rotors. Picking up my stuff tomorrow.

As far as pricing, from the places I called JRP had hands down the lowest prices on brake pads. Only problem is they didn't have anything in stock and i'm down to 0% for my rears (fronts still have 1% LOL) so I couldn't wait for them.

Lol dude cutting it close much?

In regards to pads I wouldn't concern myself much with $$ because the prices won't deviate much from shop to shop. I would worry about quality.

As for rotors, this is where quality is important, but $$ will deviate much more. I personally got drilled/slotted cause of the looks / performance. I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you got, but don't wait to the very end, you'll have a lot more air if icant problems then just replacing pads/rotors lol.

I got my pads and rotors from http://www.bimmerspecialist.com/

Pricing is good and no duties. I picked up Zimmermann cross drilled rotors all around and OEM pads. Lots of dust but nothing stops like them!

Angis or something similar. Just call the parts dept with PNs handy and ask for Mike. Autopartsway.com is also very good.
