So I tried some 0-60 runs with Torque

Mind you my 330i has no mods except a supersprint muffler, char/filt/del, and I recently filled up with 89 octane (not my usual 93)

I'm also running stock wheels with heavier 255/40/18 rear and 225/45/18 fronts, nitto motivo all-season tires.

I know that different mags have my car anywhere from 5.7 to 6.2 0-60, but I couldn't get close to that.

My best time was 6.9... that was with dsc off.

I tried with traction control all the way off & slipped off the line, and with traction control on, it just kicked in and shut me down.

I really tried to be as gentle with the clutch as I could... so whats the deal? Do you have to be super-agressive to get low 6 second times?

I don't care if I ever get any faster and I wouldn't want to be rough on my car trying- just curious if anyone has gotten closer to 6 in their ZSP?

*edit* just for safetys sake this was on a nice straight stretch of empty road but I did probably kill several insects

Yes. To get close to 6 you will need a hard launch with some wheel spin.

With traction in, I found getting into the 6's almost impossible.

I have a 328i with a 3 stage intake. My best 0-60 has been 6.3.

Sorry... Has no idea what torque was until now(i just googled it )...So yes, I guess it doesn't allow any wheel spin during launch when doing measured runs, so yournumbers, to me, sound just right.

Ps I am certain with a harder launch and power on shifts I could get my numbers down quite a bit.

As long as I'm getting performance comparable to what it should be, I'm happy

For me its not worth a few tenths to beat on my car. A sweet heel-toe downshift through some of my areas snaking cuves makes me a lot happier than a low 0-60 time.

Thanks for the replies guys
