Thanks for sharing. Quite the journey, and very well documented. I need to do ED for my next one. Maybe Marta will want to go to Amsterdam with me?

Going to Zurich myself on Feb 26th....cant wait....I love Alps.
Dont know how long you are going for but if you get the chance i highly recommend renting a car and drive east of Zurich. Even if its for 1 day in a crappy rental car you'll still enjoy yourself.

Amazing experience and great pictures. I wish I decided to do the ED, but highly doubt I would have been able to do the things that you did. Great planning and I bet it felt great to drive your car the way it was meant to be driven.

I love being American, but am so upset we can't truly enjoy our vehicles the way they were meant to be driven and can be driven here in the states.

Exactly what i thought lol. No kids or major responsibilities holding me back and a good friend in the same position. Something that one would be foolish to pass up.

Awesome review couldn't get enough. Is that a MANUAL 335is? I didn't know those existed.

Planning things out the right way is the most important thing. If you can get the time off from work its really not all that expensive when splitting everything between two people.

The problem im faced with in America now is that every day i find myself saying "that shit wouldnt fly in europe" when i encounter a doucher on the road in nyc.

Great report - get to top 5 in my list of ED reports ( and I read almost every report on Bimmerfest).

You, sir, are a god among men in the BMW enthusiast world. That's by far the best ED write-up I've ever read. Fast cars, hot girls, (or hopefully for you, hot cars and fast girls ) speed limitless roads, having the balls to throw a tune on a brand spankin new car while still in Europe, driving some of the most amazing roads in the world, and putting on 10k miles before the car touched ground in the USA. I'm seriously glad I read that whole post. Made my decision to do ED on my future M3/4 that much easier Props to you sir!!!

I believe that in order to consider myself a proper gear head i must have a manual gearbox (if available). Makes me feel so much more in tuned with the car having that third pedal and those roads are perfect for it.
