procede install sugestions
My buddys procede came in and we did the install couple of days ago.. WOW.. stupid car is stupid fast. Even driving the f355 didn't feel like that.. and he says on normal day to day drives.. better gas milage! way to go shiv!
anyways we had prepared for this install by watching the video couple days earlier several times and i took note of the connectors you had to use electrical tape cover up. I worked on my e36 ALOT so i knew you can get AMP plastic connector housings from BMW dealers that you can just slide the connectors into and viola.. just like factory connectors with no sticky residues and imho ghetto tape connections.. here are some pics of the connectors.. One more suggestions. if your watching the video while installing.. DO NOT put the laptop on top of the oil filter housing.. it WILL overheat and laptop will be useless until it cools down... DOH!!!

cool, I was looking for something to keep the res off. I even bought white electrical tape. I didn't want the same residue I saw in the video.

So 4 total takes care of the 3 diff. looms? Don't need 6 total? Or do one of these support upto 2 diff. looms (I see 2 diff. colored wires connected in that 2nd pic).

Thanks for this info. I just ordered them online from tischer bmw's web site.
The sockets were 80 cents each and the pin terminals were $1.07 each. I ordered 4 each just incase we would need to make additional wire connections in the future. |

I just ordered 4 of each also... here's the link for the parts dept.
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=214336 FWIW... Shiv... These should come with Procede. Increase the price $10 to cover your costs.

you really only need 2 of each. each of these connectors are good for three wire connections but to be safe i only used the out side connectors and left the center slot open.

So if I use these connectors, when I take in the car for service, will the AMP connectors still be visible?
Putting the car back to stock, will there be any evidence of modification |
