Due to the very confusing parking signs in the east Montreal and being an out of towner;
I received a $52 parking ticket (believe it or not just by stopping and reading the parking sign to determine if I could park there or not).
I got into a heated argument with l'agent de stationnement de Montréal who wrote the ticket.
Yes, that @$$h0le refused to speak English too [Je suis bilingue (anglais et français)], so sue me.

I live in Ontario and I will probably never drive back to Montréal for a long time.
Now here is the question:
If I don't feel like contesting/paying that ticket, will I get screwed in Ontario when comes to renewing my driver's license or my vehicle registration?

I already stopped/occupied at the parking spot to read the sign nevertheless the guy was a real @$$hole.
Contesting the ticket will cost me $60 of gas to drive back to Montréal so I am just wondering what the best course of action here.

I live to tear cops apart at court for this kind of shit, but alas its not worth the drive to Montreal.

If the fee is less than the gas and time to go fight it, then just pay for it, after all, you dont lose any points for this kind of ticket.

Cop was a complete douche bag.

No! Parking ticket is not a moving violation, no demerit points, or driving infraction, so no insurance or vehicle registration fee increase. But you need to pay it or contest it, but not ignore it!

Exactly, not a problem man, just go pay it. If you ignore it, its not worth the trouble down the road. Pay it, forget about it. These guys like to ruin other peoples day, don't let it drag you down any longer.
