i installed this the other night and im not sure i like it yet. going from stop to start in first gear is kinda wierd since you barely have to move the clutch. ill give it a week to see if i can get used to it. would probably be better if it was adjustable

yup, same thing happened to me as well, but i think it's just about getting used to. i remember in the beginning, for a few times, i almost released the clutch too fast (coz' i thought there was still a lot of dead travel) and almost stalled the car. but now it's all good

I notice it a lot more when I do WOT runs from first to second and from second to third.
Under normal driving and slow shifting I never push the clutch all the way down. Only when I am doing really hard / fast shifts does it come into play for me but it does increase shift speed and it decreases chance of bogging. Great Mod! |

I just installed mine and I absolutely love it. It shaves off all the unnecessary extra pedal travel without interrupting anything. As a matter of fact, the clutch pedal feels a lot more intuitive now.
This mod + CDV delete is a must have for any manual transmission owner!

Installed mine yesterday. While the clutch travel is much improved I still feel like there is more dead space that could be eliminated. I still find myself shifting reliably and smoothly without pushing the clutch all the way to the stop. Then again, if it were shortened any more then perhaps the sensor wouldn't be engaged. Starting off from a dead stop is easier as well. Would love love love to see one that is adjustable. Is it worth $15? For the materials definitely not, but for the effect I say definitely so.

Installed it yesterday and have no doubt in my mind its the best $20 any 6MT owner could ever spend on their car. This combined with the CDV mod make the car much easier and fun to drive. If you haven't already jumped on it, DO IT!

It takes less force to hold the clutch pedal completely to floor than it does to hold it half way to the floor. Try it, you'll see.

ic what you mean (and agree). i don't have much problem holding the clutch at the current "new" position though. it's not like i hold it there forever. and i am pretty used to it so it engages and disengages pretty normally

I just installed mine and one word.........AMAZING!
I should have done this mod right when i bought my car. Makes shifting so much easier especially in stop n go traffic. Worth every penny and I highly recommend this seller. I got mine from the West coast to NY in only a few days. Alan
