It does nothing. Get a book on turbo charging. It will answer a lot of these questions. Everytime you change boost you have to alter fuel enrichment, engine timing and cooling of the engine. I all you do is one of the 3 it doesn't give you anything helpful. The car must be programed for it.

It won't hurt your engine and will give you a little more power. If you are stock, then it won't be much, but the ecu should add a little timing especially at high rpms. 100 octane gave me about .5 mph in my 1/4 mi runs.

This is the only rule that you should follow.
I will be running 105 this Friday and it won't hurt anything. Leaded gas will destroy your cats!!

Some tuners say a diluted mix of leaded is ok. 50/50 at least, not that I'm willing to try it.

I say even with a Dinan tune it doesn't give you that much help. Procede and others actually have a seperate map for running race fuel. Those maps get the very most out of the race fuel with timing, fuel delivery and engine cooling.

it wont "clean" anything so much, but it will make the ecu adjust
this will take time, but will reflect in your mpg this will also revert (in time) when you change back to your regular octane value the power gains are real, but minimal. and this depends greatly on the condition of the engine and exhaust on the whole but , id do it

A waste of money unless you are increasing boost. BMW designed these engines to run on 91oct with peak performance on 93oct with the stock tune. Anything above 93 and you might pick up 5hp with better timing. If you want to clean the fuel system a little just throw in some Techron or BG 44k in the fuel tank.
