Comfort Access Key fob wont work

I have tried searching around for an answer to this, and found some post but didnt really answer my question...

So my problem is my Comfort Access doesnt work anymore. I have to manually unlock the door (hit the unlock button) and put the fob in the key slot. the car wont even start with the key in my pocket, it has to be in the ignition. The touch sensors for lock and unlock dont work either.

Now, this isnt that big of a deal, im not lazy, its doable, but since it is a feature I paid for... I wont it to work. I bought the car with 49K on it. now has about 70K.

My question is: How do I fix this? a simple battery replacement? recharge at the dealer? what do I do? It is till under extended warranty.

Thanks Yall

I would start off the easiest thing, and replace the battery. Far as I know CA remotes don't charge the battery like normal 3's. The battery is stated to be good for 2 years, its prob past due.

It takes a CR 2032 - about $3.00 at any drug store. Very simple DIY, insert the new battery with the same polarity as the old (+ side up).
See: Owner's Manual (p.38 for '07) /Convenient Access/Replacing the Battery

The batteries seem to last 2 to 4 years.

I had the same problem here is an illustration of where the battery is..

Now if this does not work i also had a problem with a fuse being blown. It

happens when you press the unlock/lock button to many times. Basically the small 15a fuse cant handle it and it blows. The fuse that usally goes out in 07+ cars is fuse number 73 if your car is older than its number 57.

Pull out the fuse inspect it and see if its blown. Go to autozone and get a 20a fuse and replace it, this way its more safe. I had to do some dukes of hazzard to get into the passenger in order to replace the fuse though lol.

Remove the cover in the glove compartment.

See "Fuses" in your manual.

I thought I had the same problem as you. I replaced the battery in both fobs thinking they were both due. My main key worked fine. I only recently tried the other key and it still doesnt work for comfort access but will lock/unlock/start manually. Almost like it is a regular key. But it does have the replaceable battery which I thought was only on the regular keys since they recharge.

Any resolution yet,having same problem.
Replaced battery, checked fuses, disconnected negative battery terminal to see if that would reset it. Still nothing
