Some shopping centres in brisbane aren't h&r sport frendly, indro is the worst going up to cinema

Sports bmw shocks will be ok, but it's a stiff and slightly uncomfortable ride on our crap roads. Good bang for buck, but i'd imagine a full matching coilover setup would be better but is $$$

By swapping out to thinner ones, such as these, you can effectively lower your car 10mm without swapping out springs or shocks.

It's a common mod on the Mercs, from the factory they have 5 different sizes with about a ~10-15mm range.
That's not a bad idea mate, i remember seeing the ones in the back and they are quite thick. Haven't seen any aftermarket options for bm's though

Is anyone running the OEM shocks and Eibach Pro spring kit? How is the ride and handling? How much of the drop do you get and any issues with scraping/rubbing? Thanks.

Hey QLD,

I have an identical car to yours including the Mineral White.
I also think the car is a little too high. I would be keen to have a chat with you about your choice of springs and get some part numbers from you.
Im new to this so not sure how to get in touch.

Please advise.

Welcome to the board... and nice choice in car setup - look forward to the pics

Springs are as outlined in this topic:

HR Sports - Part Number 29187-1

I had M-Sports suspension and simply swapped the springs - as the shocks were M-Sports and only 4 months old there were, and are - perfect.

Very nice ride and very good for handling. Only gets a little harsh when you hit a pothole or manhole in road - but this is more to do with the 19" RFTs on the 313 Ms I suspect.

Got the springs supplied, installed, 4 wheel alignment and warranty for $795.

Hope that helps...

Thanks QLD, I appreciate your time to respond.
I just got out of a dropped CV8Z Monaro and the ride was horrible, but damn it looked good. I really like the ride comfort in the BMW & dont want to compromise this quality but as you were I am a little bothered by the gap in the wheel arches. Is the ride comfort much different from stock? Also, could you tell me where you bought the springs as i'm in QLD quite often. Thanks again mate.

Here is place where I got everything done:

http://www.performancesuspension.com.au/

As for ride comfort, other than when you hit a pothole - it rides just like the M-Sports suspension did to me.

I got out of an Audi A4 with lowered suspension and it rode like a go-cart... the B is much sweeter

Also fyi.... the car squats down another 15 to 20 mill when driving... looks wicked
