try ebcbrakesdirect for the discs.

don't forget you need a wear sensor as well!

Original stuff from www.bmwminiparts.co.uk
Significantly cheaper than dealers but approx 1/3 more than ECP/GSF

I need to get my rear pads and disks replaced very soon. I was going to take it to an independent BMW garage and ask them to supply and fit them. Is it really much cheaper buying them myself and then asking a garage to fit them??? Any advice is appreciated.....

I always use Brakes International for all my cars.
good stuff, budget prices and they hold up on track as well as oem so no issues at all.

They ship or have a counter service up north.
Good rate on oem pads and also sell teh wear indicators for the 3.

i am starting to wish i had bought bmw original now... my zimmerman discs give a hell of a lot of rumble through the steering wheel, i know its pretty common for bmw's not to "like" 3rd party brakes...

My dealer wanted £707 fitted for discs/pads all round, but then discounted to £601 under the 4+ scheme (which my car will qualify for in a month or so). I offered to let them do it for £601 if they'd chuck in a free brake fluid service (which lets face it costs them buttons), but they wouldn't budge. So sod it, I'm DIYing - I might finally treat myself to a PS3 with the savings......

.....look out for some posts moaning about stuck discs and overflowing brake fluid in the next couple of weeks.
