Evolve vs Emaps
Any experiences. Heard good things on both
Do either do custom mapping? Anyone know where the map writing is made etc? What are the processes? I've only had one car remapped via vagcheck which I highly recommend. They did some physical checks, then hoses and laptop hooked up for some live logging to check on health. Once ok, base map was loaded and then more live logging to tweak air, fuel, boost etc. Not sure on cost of either, but think definitely not as much as dms etc |

I had emaps do my 320D a few weeks ago, 2nd BMW they have done for me.
I'm happy with the results, they had to do a number of changes to the maps in order to reduce gearbox rumble that my car seems to suffer with more than most. The maps are modified in Germany. Jason |

another thumbs up for emaps. Had my 330d done about 18 months ago, still pulling like a train and delivering over 40mpg! cost was sub £300. best money i ever spent!

emaps did my 535d too. I felt that their map (and the torque level) was most suited to my pre-LCI car. Simon came to my house and applied the map and re-applied it free of charge when my dealer over-wrote it.
Nothing has blown up or fallen off and it drives better than it did from the factory. |
