Does the M-mobility kit(or similar) damage the wheel?

I heard that such systems stain/damage your wheel. Is this true?

I'm concerned with the goo unbalancing the tire and having problems with that.

I was reading an article in a car magazine...talking about Fix-A-Flat goo (not sure if the same thing applies to M-MObility kit or others)...but apparently that goo can stain/corrode the chrome or aluminum on wheels. I just quickly scanned the article...basically it says you should use Fix-A-Flat in an emergency...should be no problem...but you should immediately go get your tire fixed and not let the goo sit in your tire for weeks...
