Professional CV writer?

Anyone used or have a recommendation for a pro CV writer?

Thinking about giving my CV a spruce up, think I've reached the limit of my own creativity.....

There's plenty of companies out there - ranging from £15 to £500 but would rather go with someone recommended....

Thanks
Chris

Have a look at CV Medic.

He's my brother-in-law so all the the usual caveats regarding a brother-in-law...

I wouldn't pay someone you don't know to write your cv. I would rather not get my foot in the door due to my own decisions that relying on someone who can claim to be a CV writer because they've seen a few good CV's and nicked them as templates (Sorry to Rich's BIL - i don't know what service he offers and it maybe more comprehensive)

Things to consider are what job you're going for and tailor it.
eg i remember a pal showing me a CV for a marketing job which was essential a box with contents related to the individual. Very eye catching in 97 (probably played out now) and got the person an interview.

Main things are that it's easy to read and the top 25-30% of the front page has a good summary. That's as much as you can expect anyone to read. And if that's any good you can flesh out the detail.

And keep the BS to a minimum...just kick the facts.

But what would i know..i now run my own business

Best of luck with new ventures

To be fair my brother-in-law does have extensive recruitment experience. What he offers is certainly more than a CV template nicked from elsewhere. And like many others he'd spent years doing what he does working for large organisations before deciding to make a go of it himself.
