My stock Xi rides firm now and hits highway expansion joints albeit really badly paved ones pretty hard with a loud bang when driving over them at 65 mph. I have Bilstein sports on my e36 M3 with stock springs and it rides a little bit harder than my Xi over the same bumps.

So just wondering if the bilsteins for the Xi's have been re-valved for ride quality and handling. But I assume COs are the safest bet to get the best of both worlds.

acthad: What tires are on the car? The stock runflats can cause you to have an extreme firm ride. I hated the run flats on my 335 and preferred my 20" w Toyos for ride quality......

oh god yeah, RFT's make the ride so much harder. I'd personally rather buy the conti kit for flats than ride on RFT's

That's what I did and couldn't be happier. Running bridgestone RE-11s now and love them!

I am on Blizzak pneumatic tires for the winter. So maybe I am off base and just expecting too much for better ride quality with the new e90 chassis vs my e36.

I am staying stock I think for now, since I already have the bilstien experience on my e36

Yea I don't think I will ever buy RFTs and just risk it.

xrayz: seems like most are ordering the eibach. I have done a ton of cars with H&R/BIlstein as well. Ur pretty much safe either route.
