Always knew the 3 series was BMW's bread and butter, especially the saloons, but really surprised to see the 5 series saloon steadily increase to almost match the 3er in 2012.

Edit: Just noticed the 5saloon actually surpassed the 3saloon in 2011.

Almost back to 2007 levels (3er Saloon). I can now see why BMW is creating more and more models (there's obviously a market for them)

Look for more and more model variations.

Way to go BMW!

Big jump in sales from E60 to F10. Normal end of model to new model jump in sales? Or more proof that most people found the Bangle E60 downright ugly? To each his own, but that model sent me packing to MB.

those 1er 5dr hatch numbers would have been much higher had the states been given a chance to buy them.

The X's are really coming on, too. Never realized that 3 Coupes had slid that much. No wonder their development is a year behind the 4 door.

put's things into perspective in regards to BMW broadenng their model spectrum. I'm most suprised by the relatively low volume of 6 series sold...especially when compared to the likes of the 5er GT

Interesting to see that once the F10 5 Series came out the sales jump up so much and is on par with the 3 series sedan.

Where are all the people claiming the F30 is a sales failure?

Funny how the 5GT matches the sales of 7 series in 2012.. Sales failure?

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

No where to be seen Jamesons. You can see an approximate 50k spike in the amount of 3 series sedans sold between 2011 and 2012, definitely a huge jump over the last year of E90 sales.

If the 2013 figures are substantially lower than the 2007 3 series sedan sales figures, even then it would be tough to consider it a failure due to the worlds fragile economic state. However based upon the rebound numbers, it doesn't look like that is going to happen.

Sarcasm?

21k for the 5GT versus 59k for the 7 series in 2012.

See how BMW expanded their 3 series model line and was able to snatch some sales number.
The 5 series is probably the most profitable product among BMW line ups.

There are so many 3 series sedans on the road here that one goes by about every 30 seconds.

I guess most people buying 3ers prefer the sedan for practicality, people like me with a wife and baby(two now) LOL. In reality I prefer a sedan because if I have to give people rides I hate having to scoot my seat up and all that crap just so somebody can get in.
