I forgot who it was, but didn't someone say they had a BT cable to use for the open source tune? They uploaded some OTS maps on the the other site that I'd like to try out. Thanks!

Anyone in vegas knows a good place that can install ST V1 coilovers that won't rape me for my money?

Idk if you're on Facebook but there's a bunch of people on Vegas Bimmers that could do it.

When do you want them installed? I can do it cheaper than any shop would charge.

Im looking into a lightly used set of yellow konis and stock sport springs for a pretty good deal. What would you charge to install these? Also anyone know if this is a decent setup? Will these shocks work right with the stock sport springs or do they need the springs that are made to go with them? I don't want the ride to be harsh but it would be nice if it was stiffened up a bit and sat just a bit lower. I am currently on stock without sport package, 19" wheels and will be running the new Vishnu E85 setup for reference.

Thanks!

Me...

I also have a battery charger. A must due to the read/write times being longer than say a COBB.

Thanks!
$200 for coilovers/ spring & strut combo. Koni Yellow's are adjustable struts, so they would work with just about any spring. Honestly, if you're looking for a light/mild drop and reduce body roll , I would do Eibach Pro Kit springs. You'll barely be able to notice a difference with sport springs.

I would advise you to get new suspension components. Thats one thing you don't want to get used and risk it getting bouncy on you or whatever. Research before buying one too. As far as how low do you want to go, or if you want coilovers, ride comfort.... Just my 2 cents. Also take up Manny on that deal! $200 for a suspension swap is insanely cheap!

I wanted to go with the stock sport springs because I don't really want it to be much lower than that. My driveway is a bitch to get in and I don't love the slammed look anyway. The shocks are supposed to have less than 10k miles on them and I can get them for 1/3 of what they cost new. Since Manny can do the install for so cheap I think it is a pretty good gamble but maybe not.

When you say I will barely notice the difference with the sport springs. Do you mean in ride hight or improved handling?

Improved handling and not that much of a height difference. My car came with the 'sport' package and it handle good when I was stock. Ride height for me was ok with the stock suspension, but it made me sick on long curvy roads. Once I started upping the HP, body roll increased and you lose that 'planted feel'. If you're stock, I say go for it. Plus, you'll have the adjustable dampers too which would help. However, with the spring rate, you can only adjust so much before you have a harsh ride.

Thanks for the input. The springs are out of the deal now. He can't locate them so I would be able to get w/e springs would work best. I'm not sure if I wanna go for that yet or just wait and get some coil overs.
