Dirty Roof and side Liner.

Hey crew i have a slight problem. My headliner is dirty cuz my dumb self touched it with my dirty hands. Its the liner where the seatbelt bracket is neer the corner. Was wondering if there is anything out there than can clean that up. Also the sliding door for the moon roof has dirt line going across and i need t get that out asap thanks .

I've used Woolite a few times with good results -- a couple tbsp in a quart of water. Scrub with a soft toothbrush or upholstery brush, and wipe/blot with a damp towel.

I have found Meguiars APC to be one of the best products you can use for that purpose. Spray a little on the microfiber and rub the soiled area of the headliner and it just takes stains and dirt right out.

+1 Definately the way to go, I highly recommend what 328i say's.....that's all that I have been using since this Meguiar's APC+ was released. Just do not spray directly on headliner , spray on MF then apply with light pressure.

The regular APC is a green colored Gallon container. Use it as Dave said, but spraying it on a towel first.

Dave,

I currently have Meg's APC, and am running low so I'll have to pick up another gallon soon. Have you used both APC and APC+? If so mind sharing what you found to be better about the APC+? I love APC so if APC+ is even better than it's a no brainer.

Thanks,
Pat

Edit: Just took a look at the descriptions, seems as thought he APC+ is meant for exterior and interiors, and APC is meant primarily for interiors. I think I'll pick up both then.

I used BMW headliner cleaner. Worked great and left zero traces or spots.

after you clean it, you should scotch gard it. Just in case you accidentally do it again.

APC+ is a lower sudsing formula as well, which is helpful in carpet extractors. I think they are pretty similar though otherwise. I've heard nothing but great things about both though.

If you try both side by side, let me know what you think Pat.

George, I think I have enough regular APC to hold me over until someone gets them in stock, so once I do get APC+ I'll let you know what I think. I think APC + should be great for pre treating bugs, side panels, etc though since it's suppsoed to be a bit stronger.
