Hi mates,

This time, I'm showing you how to retrofit a pair of power folding mirrors with autodimming feature (also with memories and parking feature)

This DIY is only valid for e9x with POWER SEATS with MEMORIES, if you don't have them, you must change the wiring...

Hi!
It is not necessary to remove the card (or door panel) as you said for swapping the mirrors but you dont have to remove the tweeters neither, I left them hanging on the wire.

If you really want to remove them (the tweeters) you will have to remove the whole panel and unplug them from the speaker.

You will find more info RIGHT HERE

Regards!

The car is a LCI ( without the mirror package what so ever ) gonne install M3 mirros from a pre lci M3 with all the options ( heated, power folding, auto dim)

Pre lci mirrors work on a lci guess?
Yes, this is valid for all e9x BMW and also for 1-Series (e81,e82,e87,e88)
And yes, you can install M3, LCI, PreLCI... mirrors in all cars (pay attention to the car variant because e92/e93 mirrors wont fit at e90/e91)

Regards.

So all I need to remove is the tweeter molding? Do I just pull hard? Thanks.

No, you don't! You have to pull from the upper corner and unplug the plastic flap from it hole.
Then slide the moulding up and the second flap will release from its slot.

It is not difficult but you have to see the flaps for comprehending what are you doing.

Regards
