SMARES21 is a FRAUD! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Sam Mares purchased a jb4 from me. We negotiated such that he would provide a tracking slip which he claims he purchased with paypal. Now he is saying he never received the item and making a claim with paypal and refuses to pull up the tracking number or paypal information from the postage purchase!

You didn't get the tracking number from him before shipping? Danggggg. You could always go to the UPS store and ask for items shipped to that address and get it that way. Paypal would side with you if it shows delivered.

He sent me an image link to where he uploaded the shipping label. I saved the link for later reference but he just took it down. I've asked him multiple times for it, for a paypal transaction iD# from buying it, for anything info and he always just ignores me. It's clearly a fraud attempt. It shipped through USPS.

Can I contact them for packages shipped there?

I think paypal will request tracking information.. I guess he could use any tracking number though. Hmm. Sounds like you were WAY to trusting. hahaha

I did the same recently. A buyer sent me a label and I shipped the product. That said, UPS gave me a copy of the tracking number so I can track the shipment. It wasnt necessary in my case since the buyer confirmed receiving the package. Always keep a copy of the tracking number if someone provides their own shipping label.

do you have any of the conversations where he mentions sending you a prepaid postage to ship it? that might be the only chance, and idk if it'd be enough. i always save all the convos between negotiations and always keep a tracking receipt.

i've read that ppl have sent bricks through mail and as long as they have a tracking number that something was delivered theres not much paypal would do, not sure how true that is though.

edit: i dont mean post the convo on here, we couldnt careless of what was said. i mean send that convo over to paypal and tell them thats why you cant provide a tracking #

There are 2 sides to every story, then there is the truth.

I choose to handle issues privately instead of doing what the OP did and posting half truths/whole lies on the internet.

This will be my only public post on the subject.

Yeah. Youre so private that you don't respond to my PM's or paypal dispute posts...

iBoost,

I do have his original PM's where we negotiated and even has the link to the shipping tag image. He did take it off the image hosting site...

According to OP, you're not choosing to handle it in any way.

This is how I know you're an idiot.

OP, you should have requested delivery signature, indicating receipt, and also kept the tracking number via email or other, especially for something so expensive.

Without passing judgment please tell us your side of the story! Silence although is a form of response only shadows the truth. Not forcing you to defend your side, merely informing you that your reputation is in question.

He won't reply to you if he won't reply to me.

I know I should have been more careful. I do so many good deals with decent people that I grew complacent. Lesson learned...

Yeah.

Paypal basically told me to f-off and decided in his favor. Not surprised. I closed the bank account and credit card with the account and left a negative balance.

Not sure if you know but a negative balance with paypal will affect your credit substantially.

I think we all get the point the guy is obviously a prick and cant defend his point which usually means he doesn't have one. Well anyways good luck with your situation and if you don't get you money back, karma will surely bite him in the ass.
