Window Motor Reset? ...

I've searched, and tried about 50 different methods with my mechanic after replacing my right rear window regulator... and after an hour+ it still isnt working.

I've tried holding it down and up for 30 seconds, 20 seconds, 15 seconds etc...

Does anyone have a concrete method on how to get this to work? Lol, it's driving me a little crazy.

Sorry if this isnt the right subforum.

Thanks~

e90 -

It's up? It goes up and down, no problem - but if it goes down all the way, it does that weird thing when i bring it up where it goes up an inch down an inch up an inch down an inch and then up all the way kind of deal.

If i bring it halfway down, and use the auto up it closes no problem, but if i go auto down, it'll get stuck momentarily then go up again.

So I guess the motor needs to be reset - I got lucky when my left side went, but this right side is being an asshole.

Thanks in advance.

A BMW tech said that I should disconnect the battery after replacing the motors when I decide to do it.

Tried this a few times =) I think I just need the correct up/down and timing procedures in order to reset this silly motor.
