Did you ever take pics of the cut-off and beam placement on the ground. I'm interested in purchasing but lighting has to be good because I travel on roads with minimal side lights. (country style)

Do you know if really you need those cancelers because you have a 2006?

I read that you made some videos, was it after the installation? It would be great to see the final product in video.

This mod is haunting me *again*.

from what i understand 2006 is the most problematic, but i really have very little experience with xenon upgrades, so i'm learning from this.

shipping says cancelers should arrive today, and the mailman should be here aaaany minute. got work at 6 but i'll try and throw these in real quick before and let you guys know if it solved the problem.

expect the DIY write up this weekend, possibly around midnight tonight or tomorrow.

As for the euro sockets, i asked my friend at the shop how many/how easily he could get these. just waiting back for a reply once he hears from their supplier

Okay, this might sound a bit cheesy, but could you temporarily tape the turn signal bulb holders onto the new headlights while you wait for the euro sockets?

And I'm curious to see how you mount everything as I ordered a set and they should be here any moment. I've got a 07 so I'll see if I need the error cancelors (ordered them as well off ebay but not here yet).

Okay, received my lights. Only hooked up one to check. With engine not running, no flickering. Engine running, it's like a strobe light, so I'll have to wait for my cancelors to come in. Not sure if it would make a difference if I plugged both lights in. I've got a 2007 328xi e90 sedan, built 2/07, that was halogen.

As for changing the angel eyes to a different bulb, you can probably reach in with a REAL small hand or perhaps a pair of needle nose to change out the bulbs around the high beam. The ones around the xenon bulb would be a much more difficult task w/o disassembling them. You MIGHT be able to do it with long needles nose, but getting the bulbs back in could take a bit of time.

A noob question, but now that these lights have clear corners, I'll need to buy amber bulbs to make the turn signal legal?

yea either buy an orange colored bulb which will look and blink orange, or buy one of the stealth bulbs that look clear in the housing but still blink amber. chances are the turn signal bulbs in your existing halogens are orange, so you can reuse those.

I dont know about ghetto rigging, the socket holder, i'm sure you probably could with some crafty duct tape and tin foil, but i wouldnt want to risk shorting anything out.

Youl get the strobe light effect till you get the cancelers. Mine arent flickering anymore but the dashboard error still shows up (doesnt affect anything, just a nuisance). ive seen people wire in capacitors to remove fog light errors, does anyone know anything about that?

well as far as the capacitors on the fog lights, i do have the capacitors on my fog lights and they work PERFECT! you can get the capacitors at any radio shack. The capacitor is called a 4700uF capacitor. One on each fog light did the trick for me!

I'm still waiting for my error cancellors, but I wish they cleared error code as well. Got them from vendor on ebay for only $20, but the description says that it is supposed to clear error code as well. We'll see. Description on ebay:

"The decoder will works with all aftermarket HID xenon Kits: H1, H3, H4, H7, H8, H9, H10, H11, H13, 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007, 880, 881, 889
This harness has the resistors & capacitors to simulate a factory Halogen Bulb. This will solve the error message on the dash board of newer luxury cars.
This harness will also eliminate HID headlight flickering that is caused by the Vehicle's computer not recognizing the low wattage HID bulb.
This HID Conversion Kit Computer Warning Canceller will solve the computer error warning encountered during the installation of the HID kits.
Power from the vehicle factory headlight plugs into this harness and this harness powers your HID Ballast."

Ive had a few inquiries about the euro sockets. As for right now i can't get any more, so the safest route is ordering them on tischer, bavauto, etc

This is what you are looking for. They compliment the projector90's well! And are street legal. I received mine 3 days ago.

Hey sandman, did you ever figure out the error on dash? I connected mine today and I received no errors. I have used hid ballasts from a horrible seller which I won't say his name but he was banned from here. Needless to say I purchased these error free modules from ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT
I'm not promoting these because I own a 08' E90 and that could be the reason for no errors. I also have Depo blackline LEDs and have no errors. They have been running good for over 3 weeks now! Thanks Jlevi!!!
