Window trim wrapped with vinyl

Little weekend project. wrapped vinyl on my friend's e39 window trim gloss black while back. Kinda liked how it looked so i decided to rip off plastidip and wrap it gloss black.

E39 before

E39 After

Ripping off the plastidip on my e92

Wrapping process

Plastidip (bottom), glossy vinyl (top) and chrome all in one shot

used the leftover vinyl to cover the reflector

Looks good!

I could never get vinyl to work on my trim. I wasted way too much time trying to wrap it and when I was done it looked like a 5 year old did it, so I just had my trim replaced with OEM shadowline lol. Yours looks great though!

Gonna try to attempt this soon. Noob question...how do you trim the vinyl without damaging the paint or cutting into plastic? Just be super careful with a sharp knife?

Just a sharp knife and lots of patience (it gets frustrating)
