+1000. For manual gearboxes, why don't they offer the "modified flywheel" along with the Power Kit 2, since the flywheel is the only thing different in the 335is drivetrain, as BMW mentioned ?

Thank you for doing this.

I love Alcantara, I would love to see it offered more. Ask them "whats up with that?"

Why not develop the 335d it has more performance potential then the 335i, and is a greener car.

1) I would like to add my voice the the voice of those who have asked to make a LSD available for the 335i.
2) BMW should finally do something about the HP pump problems.
3) The cost of BMW performance parts thus far has been excessive and should be brought to a level where the parts would be competitive with aftermarket.

I think by far this is the product most of us want from BMW performance, what would everyone interested in it consider a decent price?

Nothing to do with performance really, but....

Can you please bring back Estorilblau? Maybe find some way to make it that's less harmful to the environment? That color was ridiculous.

- Performance brakes for 335 - front & rear
- BMW Individual options/part more available in the U.S.
- Upgraded BMW FMIC for turbo cars
- LSD option
- Non-Runflat option w/spare
- More wheel options (I like most of BMW's wheels and think they're good wheel designers - let's get a bit more creative though)
- Ability to order high performance parts right from the factory instead of dealer-installed

Ask how we, the enthusiast community, can help make BMW Performance a success. If the accountants like the numbers, Eric will have more power and influence to bring us what we want. BMW Performance parts are not cheap for a reason, there is a lot of R&D that goes into engineering parts that exceed standard specs. But quantity brings down cost; the paradox of pricing. Lot of buyers -> lower cost per item -> lower profit per item, but higher profit from more sales -> everyone wins!

Make performance parts that are already in the factory system available via individual. At this point that amounts to just ordering a 335is, which is great, but there is a significant aftermarket population, and owners that need four doors...

Top priorities:
1) LSD
2) Seats
3) M3 suspension parts -- control arms, bushings, braces -- re-labeled as Perf parts, with concomitant adjustment of Perf suspension kit (springs and dampers) to take advantage of the better dynamics. This could be developed as a "Stage II" suspension kit.
4) Brakes for 335; stainless steel lines etc.
5) More potent engine tune kit, akin to Alpina B3S levels. Added cooling and FMIC.

Note that a 335 equipped with the above BMW Perf parts would kick the S4's butt in a comparo test. It would also preempt much of the aftermarket tuner market.

Oooh, and plead for those of us with old 2007 335s -- the cost of the required MSD-81 makes the price prohibitive. $1500 is a reasonable price point. But add on $900 for the new MSD and it is out of reach, particularly for the de-tuned manual tranny version.

Understood, keep the questions coming!

Don't worry, I will definitely focus most on these items. (With enough time, I would ask every question...but like you said, I should tackle the most possible things first)

My final list of questions will reflect what is asked most frequently in this thread. What is promising is that nearly all the questions I prepared myself are contained in this thread.

Let us order it from the factory!
+1. Ask if/when the performance parts will be available as factory installed options.

Thanks,
