Can I add bluetooth audio to bluetooth phone

I noticed my car has bluetooth phone capabilities but not the bluetooth audio. I read they started making bluetooth audio for cars after october 2010, unfortunately my car is may 2010. Is there anyway I can upgrade to that, via coding the vehicle or updated to the new idrive?

Cheap adaptors or Dension gateway 500s bt

Cheap adaptors or Dension gateway 500s bt
gives you usb/ipod and streaming bluetooth with steering
wheel contols.
Tune2air for apple users with the usb/ipod option already installed.
There are multitudes of cheap adapters that just play though the aux.
If you have a newer car combox upgrade (factory oem)may be what you want see bimmertech.com
Older cars with Nav will need a complete Nav retrofit if possible.

Pick up the blackberry music gateway. Works great, you can set your phone to auto connect and stream using an app. Only $32 also, sound quality is definitely acceptable

You could upgrade to a Combox setup. Several retrofit vendors on here can do that easily for you.

Search for combox retrofit. You'll find everything you need. BimmerRetrofit and Bimmertech on this board both offer the service.

You only need to replace the module in the trunk and maybe a software upgrade to your iDrive.
