Well, it doesn't hurt to ask the dealer.
But keep in mind, they are a DEALER and will severly overcharge you to do it. Infiniti charged me $500 for the reciever and installation. BMW wanted $900. I told them they were nuts!! So we settled on a bit lower price ($711 with tax) which was still outrageous but included the 1 year free. Ask around someone might be able to do it for you for considerably less. You can always get an aftermarket unit from Best Buy or somewhere for $100 and $65 install, but it won't be "pretty" and be part of your OEM stereo. Ask BMW parts department how much the parts are, still ask for discount, no matter what they quote you. Then that will give you an idea what the dealership is charging for the install. If you can afford it, it's worth it. FM sucks and not having to commercials with your music is awesome. It's like Tivo or a DVR, not having to watch the commercials is so much nicer than having to sit through F-in commercials with your TV. Sirius DVR/TiVo High Speed Internet 3 wonderful technologies you must have. |

"oh oh Robin. I created the radio. I am the person responsible for Sirius' success." Howie is almost past his time, O&A are the next big ones.

it's not like o+a are new or upcoming, those guys have been around for years and are still nobodys
don't get me wrong, howard is getting older, and loosing a bit of appeal with younger people, but he's got a long way farther to fall to be at o&a's level plus o&a have a censored show on fm, any sensored stuff is unlistenable.... |

Guys please don't turn this thread into a Howard vs. Whatever their names are thread!
Hopefully the government will allow Sirius to buy XM and it won't matter. Long live Sirius Satellite radio, as driving without it would stink!! |
