It was an AUC, brought only a couple of months ago from a different dealer.

I complained to BMW UK customer services, who basically said both of the dealers are independent franchises and have no authority.

I would go back to that dealer had a similar issue but with servicing. Bought a AUC from sytner high wycombe car was serviced in MK for first 3 years and items where not done as I found out when I took it to Barons at age of 4. Made them pick up the tab since AUC means cars are to be checked for everything and items corrected done accordingly hence reason for buying AUC. I suggest a strong call to sales manager at that dealer
