CP-E 5" Catless Downpipe for N55

Initial Thoughts
________________________________________________
I recently had the opportunity to offer my N55 335i to be Custom Performance Engineering's test platform for their 5" Catless downpipe.
5" I said? Madness. Impossible.
SO I went down to headquarters in Beltsville, MD and called their bluff.

Lo and behold... here it was

This is me with the catless DP in front of my face.

After a day of dyno runs with baselines, JB4 Stage 2 Map 1, Map 2, WOT pulls.....

We have a bunch of pictures, video, and data.

Dyno's
________________________________________________

A 70MPH fan was used. 3 pulls were done for consistency for each test.

Dyno #1: Stock Baseline vs Stock + DP

Dyno #2: JB4 Stage 2 Map 1 12.5 PSI VS Same tune + DP

Dyno #3: JB4 Stage 2 Map 2 14 PSI vs Stock tune Baseline

MORE TO COME SOON!

Many thanks to Mike @ VAC for the hookup!

Vishnu Catback Exhaust.

I am not qualified to answer the 3.5" vs 4" vs 5" DP question so I'll let anyone with more knowledge handle it. I just know that there was a significant difference between baseline stock vs stock + 5" DP. Whether this difference is greater than what can be achieved with other brand's DP's of various sizes, idk.

We dyno'ed all day. Just waiting on getting all the graphs sorted out, sent to me, so I can post. I think baseline on the mustang dyno was ~255hp.

GoPro didn't capture it. In real life you hear the turbo spool like no other. Compared against a friend's AR 4" + Performance Exhaust N55, its much more noticeable with the CP-E 5" + Vishnu Catback combo. That's something that will require a better camera + mic setup to capture or your just going to have to take my word for it. Better yet, visit Philly!

Looks like a really nice piece. 4" will support well over 1000whp with ease, not sure what the point of 5" is but...

Ya I don't get the whole 3.5 vs 4 vs 5 inch DP thing. Don't see what kind of difference that could possibly make. Sounds great though bro

JB4 Stage 2 Map 1 vs Map 2 doesn't show a significant difference. Is Map 2 really pushing out 14PSI?
