hey guys im looking to get new rotors like a package with ss lines rotors pads and fluids which do you guys have and can you show with pics?

heres the ones im considering
looking to replace my rotors with a full package and this is what i found

I have 88rotor's drilled and slotted rotors with oem brakes (bad idea but it'll change when I get paid.) Ill be upgrading to hawk pads or cool carbon and maybe getting new rotors or getting it resurfaced. They're great for looks, not sure if the initial bite is all that great anymore. But, the brakes are a lot cooler (I measure the temp after every canyon run to see if they're at warping point.) The rotors are cheap and have a lifetime warranty against cracking and 1 year warranty on premature warping so I'm sold on this company
But my set-up is for people on a budget lol id get stoptech if I were you! They're amazing and not to mention the rep they withhold. Another good set of brakes nd rotors are from wilwood. I'm not sure though if they are special order only or are they sold freely. that'd be an arm and a leg for sure

thanks for the reply what do you think is better like drilled n slotted or just drilled? i see people having slotted but then drilled whats better? i heard slotted rotors on the track are not safe?

I have stock brakes on my E90 but have put the stoptech big brake kit on my wife's e46 and the track rat has it too. They have slotted rotors. Some cross drilled rortors will crack from the heat cycles under extreme conditions on track. Slotted and cross drilled is a bit of overkill as the gas gets out efficiently with either method alone. I have warped both kinds. The upside of cross drilled is the lighter weight lowering mass at the wheel.

thank for the reply but i dont understand about it being a overkill and that the gas gets out efficently with one meaning it waste more gas? lmao im a noob coming to brakes and my 335i im trying to learn as much as i can

There is no benefit to get a BBK since your 335 had a decent brakes and all you need is OEM rotors.

But seriously, these are the best OEM brakes of any car I've ever owned so it would take a lot to convince me to switch to non-OEM.

My plan for when I need new brakes (front) is to switch to the two piece Z4 35si (or something like that, I forget the model). They are two piece rotors, with an aluminum center hat. So the hat won't rust, I lose some unsprung weight, and they are OEM parts that are the exact same dimensions as the 335i OEM brakes. For pads, I haven't decided yet, but probably either Hawk, Ferodo, or Performance Friction.

For the rears, just OEM rotors and whatever the pad is for the front will go in the back.

I went on the track once with this car so far, and was really pleased with the brake performance (I do have Motul RBF600 fluid in the brake lines).

I have stoptech black painted rotors blank. Used them with OEM pads, pretty happy with em. My rear pads are going out now so im gonna order some hawks or Cool Carbon pads. I litterally got black rims for 2 reasons, looks good on silver car, and doesnt show brake dust as much... so thats why I am going non OEM pads and rotors... terrible brake dust

That sounds really good. A two piece rotor would be perfect.

thnx guys for all the replies im leaning towards the stoptech upgrade with slotted and drilled rotors with the ss lines and pads that i get with it i think i should be good enough with those i mean they not no bbk but theyll do for now being a college student and paying everything for myself.. anyone have pics of their rotors?

Planning to upgrade to Z4 35is front rotors too when the time comes. I've heard good reviews about them and it's a nice OEM upgrade

The Zimmermann rotors have a coating on, and won't rust. I've been using these for over a year, no rust.

You sounds like you are from Eastern Europe. I am in Chicago as well and I've been tracking my car for the past two years.

My current track set up is Zimmerman rotors + PFC 08 pads + ATE Super Blue fluid and full braided brake lines.

For the street, I use another set of OEM rotors with OEM pads.

Check out z4 35is two piece, ECS sells them. I installed them 6 months ago and went to two HPDEs and no issues. Definitely a great value and OEM.

About to install Centric Premium Blanks and Stop tech Street Pads on 335i.

Z4 35I front rotors and OEM rear rotors are also great choice.
