Turbo seal gone?
So I recently got a howling noise when I'm in boost right after i passed 100k on the odometer. I decided to take the undertray off and take a look. I have no smoke coming out of the exhaust or any CELs. I do not hear wastegate rattle. Looks like the turbo seals are done on the front turbo as I found oil leaking.

Just keep running them until they start smoking. My howling worsened over a 10k mile period, then I got more and more smoke within the last 500 miles. This is what my turbos looked like.
I'd only replace yours now if you happen to be doing big work in that area, like installing inlets and/or outlets. |

Do you plan to rebuild them or just replace with new oem turbos? I need to do my oil pan gasket real soon so I plan to do the turbos at the same time.

Oil pan gasket is first thing I'm doing Saturday morning, than finishing my turbo install and hopefully cranking her over by Saturday evening..
