How do I fix this mark (scratch?) on my leather?

My driver seat has this mark on the side bolster. It looks like it's gotten discolored or scratched with the seat belt, or with me getting in and out of the car.

Would a fix be covered under warranty? Or is there something I can use to re-dye it? I tried just using leather cleaner and conditioner, but that didn't do anything.

Oil-based conditioners can permeate the stitching or any micro fissures; it then lies between the urethane and the leather surface, causing the urethane to delaminate by releasing its adhesive bond , which means that the urethane and leather hide are free to move in different directions, which will result in surface fissures and cracking.

You will need to re-dye the surface and replace the urethane coating

Agreed. Many dealers have people that can re-dye your seats for minimal cost. I took my M5 in and the redid both front seats for $150. It lasted for about 3 years or so, but a small price to pay to make it look like new for a while.

black marker permanent ink...apply a coat on it and then wipe it down with towel to get the sheen off...I use to do it to my E36 with black interior...works awesome...

I have a mark on my side bolster ... dealer would not repair, as it is wear and tear. I became more careful of entering exiting the car. I use the memory buttons on the seats to make it easier to get in and out vs. my regular driving position.

I put some liquid shoe polish on a q-tip and swabbed the mark ... it's still there, but unless you knew to look you wouldn't notice.

You could also try a good quality, bees wax-based shoe polish (e.g. Saphir). After cleaning the affected area with some alcohol, work some polish in and then let is dry over night. The next day, buff it out so it will not mark your clothes.

That's how used car dealer's 'repair' scuffed leather seats, it will last for a week or two (I must have strayed away from the detailing section

Would you suggest leatherique to fix something like this? Also, what product is used for the urethan coating (maybe leatherique makes something)?

Leatherequi is an oil-based product that will not 'fix' lather that is worn away.

Leather Master's products are water-based and will permeate urathane

Its not much. It does work if you follow the directions. I used it on my 2006 BMW when I had it and you couldnt even see it when I was done.

They do have coral red. See the 7th color starting from the bottom (BMW)
