Paddock close to the entrance and the bridge will be packed. If you guys want enough space to line up, here's one suggestion for the 1st day at Lightning.

Any other suggestions? No grass please, need solid ground to work on the car.

Looks good to me as well.

Note to people attending this event - bring tape to put your numbers on, PCA doesn't give them out.

sorry for asking, but where is the track above located?
that looks like a lot of fun. I would like to give that a try, I am into drag racing much as I do not like launching the car so F hard...
thanks - Luigi

The actual Lightning track is the outer road surface in the pic above. The inner-track is for go-karts. Something fun to do in-between your track runs :-)

Right next to Lightning is another track, Thunderbolt. And the whole thing is sitting in-between 2 airport runways. Day 1 of this event is on Lightning, day 2 at Thunderbolt, that's what makes this event interesting!

So turns out you're right, looking at the schedule sent out this morning, they're combining groups:

green with yellow
white with blue
black with orange

that's how they get their 5th session in though. I see 4 x 25 and 1 x 20min session in my schedule. If you ever run with PCA RTR, they squeeze in 6 sessions by combining red with black too.

There are usually so many sessions either you or your car will be tired by the end of the event. Great value

Yea I noticed that as well. I may do more PCA events going forward, it definitely has best bang for buck, at least compared to CCA and NASA. Its just too bad they don't have more weekend events like this. Seems like in general many of their events fall on weekdays.

I hear you on the weekday schedules, I can only do weekends and this kills me too.

If any of the PCA RTR events fit your schedule you should try them, they give you even more time beyond the published 6 x 20min sessions. On their 3-day events, the 1st day is more or less open track but only open for mid/advanced groups. Last year's Pocono run was a blast with the full NASCAR course on Friday. And their intermediate groups are on par with advanced from other clubs, heavy duty stuff!

By Sunday noon, half the field disappears and they combine everyone (usually) remaining into 2 groups, tons of track time and fun!

I've only done PCA events thus far in my track career but it's basically all hands-on. Total classroom time at the last two-day PCA event was like 15 minutes combined, both days, tops. My instructor was excellent.

I can't wait to see the difference my full M3 suspension, Quaife LSD, and Rogue toe arms make. Also got SS lines and track brake fluid in.
Last time I was at the track, my car was 100% stock save for my non-RFT tires!

Everybody ready? Weather looks really good ... 68*, partly cloudy. Like a day on the beach.

I got all my stuff in my trunk ... jack, helmet, tech inspection form, etc. And a full tank of gas ($4.28/gallon for 93 today ... ouchie).

I'm going to wash my car and put my numbers on soon. I will bring tape to the track in case anyone forgets.

I took the afternoon off to get my stuff ready. Can't wait!

Does a full tank last the day? Or do I need to bring a fuel jug?

A full tank won't last the whole day. We can drive into Millville during lunch break to get gas, no need to bring any.

Bring some oil though. I have some but I think the M3 uses a different grade.

There is a wawa in Millville but I bring lunch, I suggest everyone do the same.
