LCI Conversion, General Questions/Whats it worth? Vendor Chime in?

Hi Everyone,

I've been seriously considering doing a FRONT END LCI conversion on my car, for whatever reason I just love the way the LCI front end looks. I know what I need to do, and that I will need to purchase the bumper, hood, and a few other little items but my real question is how much should this cost me total, assuming I install the parts myself?

I was thinking of breaking it down like this, am I about right?

Mtech front bumper w/fogs seems to average 350 on ebay, however i can probably find a normal front end for around 300. agreeable?

I've seen a replacement hood on CARID for around 300, however I was thinking of going salvage yard for this for about 250-350, is that about right?

Now the real question for me is paint, I don't think I'm going to be able to find the parts pre painted, and I don't know how much that part is worth. I'm hoping for 2 pieces it should be around 500 total, basing that off of the current 200 dollar bumper promotion being ran by one of the sponsors.

And my last question is in regard to fitment, since I am planning on installing these myself, I don't really understand what people mean when they say fitting the parts, does that literally mean installing them? Or is there some kind of adjustment to get things to line up just right/something I might not be able to achieve at home.

Thanks for your time and input.

If you want a front bumper I have one for sale. $175 takes it. It's a LCI front bumper with JBspeed splitters glued on by a body shop

if you want to do it then consider the msport conversion: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=504040

page 2 has the parts list.

jgmods sells the replica msport front bumper if you want to score it a little cheaper.. painting a hood and bumper is going to cost around 500-600$.

I was going to do it but in the end i just went with an m3 bumper. bumper+shipping+paint cost me about 650..

Not really a fan of the LCI headlights, too big. Different strokes for different folks.
