Coding active cruise control to act like normal cruise control?

Hi guys,

Is it possible to make my active cruise control work like a ''normal'' cruise control?

When i bought my 335i a couple of months ago the active cruise control wasn't working. Offcourse the guy who sold me the car gave me a good discount

For me a normal cruise control would be just fine. I have no idea what is wrong but i guess the sensor is damaged or something like that.
