Exclamation Help Deciding on Tires!!

Hey guys- I know there's a million threads like these, but I'd like some specific help choosing between 3 sets of tires. By the way, Michelin PSS are not in the list mostly due to cost. I've got a baby on the way, and I'm probably not going to be keeping this car all that much longer.

What do I value most in tires? At this point, probably a nice ride, yet still grippy. I don't autocross or drag, but I do like to take a corner or two a little fast...

Choosing between these 3:

BFGoodrich G-Force Sport Comp 2
Continental Extreme Contact DW
Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position

If you've had any experiene with these, especially more than one of these, please let me know which I should go with!

Thanks

PS- I'll probably receive a gazillion PMs about my lights and lip. Read this... Angel eyes are Lux 5.0, I did a corner light delete (the DIY is on this forum), I have vinyl covering the orange markers (no it doesn't look cheap), and the lip is Hartge (good luck finding that).

I can not speak for the BFGoodrich tires but I have sold plenty of Potenza and DW tires with nothing but great feed back. I think you would be happy with either.

If you have any questions about pricing of tires or fitment please don't hesitate to ask!

Among those, the Bridgestone Potenza S04 Pole Position would be the nearest to the Michelin Pilot Super Sport in regards to handling and grip. It also has a bit softer ride compared to the Pilot Super Sport.

The S04s should still provide exceptional performance.

Just installed the Pole Positions and they are quite good. The Michelins were my first choice, but cost wise these are fantastic. In my opinion if I price wasn't an issue, these tires still would have been second.

Check Tire Rack's head to head comparison. That should help

If you're looking for more comfort and longer lasting tire, the Continental DW. If you're looking for more performance, Potenza S-04. Never tried the BFgoodrich, so i can't comment on that. Good Luck!!

Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3 has some pretty good preliminary reviews. Michelin even did an event where they invited people to try out their new tires in various situations, and even put them up against some summer dedicated tires. There are numerous videos if you search around.

A buddy of mine just purchased those tires for his stage 2 MkVI GTI and has almost completely eliminated wheel spin. Prior to the new set up he would 2nd no problem...now it's all pull. Plus a 45,000 tread warranty, free roadside assistance, and sunflower oil.....it's all about the sunflower oil!
