Pilot Super Sport for E90 Sport Package

Hey guys

My PS2 RFT that i got from Tirerack are due for replacement soon. I'm really keen to try out the PSS but it seems that no one in Australia has them. I have tried tempe, Ozzy and Jax and they are not available.

Has anyone got PSS on their 3 series on sport package size? 225/40/18 and 255/35/18

Anyone brought tires from tirerack recently? Is it a no go for good?

Cheers!

I got a quote off them for a pair of Pirelli tyres. Shipping was $328 for a pair.
So I would assume from this that they will ship to Australia again.
Just ask for a quote.

Tire Rack are definitely shipping Michelin PSS tyres to Australia again , just ordered my set of 4 staggered sizes in 19' fitment about 2 weeks ago, arrived within a week (would have been even quicker if not for the held up with customs clearing).

Fedex shipping for me was USD 376 for set of 4 to Sydney metro.

It seems the shipping is a bit of a lottery. I got quoted $328 for 2 tyres and
mlfc 335 got quoted $376 for 4 tyres.

I bought the '1 up' size that many others use on this board - 235/35R19 fronts and 265/30R19 rears. Cost was USD 1,136.

Even with GST, customs duty and local fitting & balancing it was still a few hundred quid cheaper than lowest quote I got from local (grey import) retailer.

If tirerack won't ship, use ship2me.com. Pretty easy to use, just set up an account (free), you then get a mail box and use that to organise your tyres/parcels anything. Ship2me will then ship to you.

I didn't think tyres would make that much of a difference but the Michelin PSS did that for sure. After getting rid of my RFT's I went with Dunlop Direzza DZ101's 225/30/19 & 275/30/19. The DZ101's handled OK. Gripped OK. A little noisy and tyre wear was good. Car is an E92 335i m-sport.

The Michelin PSS are miles ahead. They are expensive but you really do get what you pay for. I have fitted 235/30/19 and 275/30/19. They are much quieter, more comfortable, handle a thousand times better and also grip is way better as well. By all accounts tyre wear is good also.

I got mine from Tirerack at the beginning of October last year. They were great. No issues at all. Unfortunately I don't think they ship Michelin to Australia anymore. I tried a couple of sales guys first before I found one that said yes. I would try a freight forwarder if they say no go to aus.

Thx for reply guys

Larry got back to me with 926 for tires and 374 for shipping.

Is it correct that import tax and gst is only apply with the value of the goods is over $1000aud and shipping doesn't count as part of the $1000 limit?

correct. Anything under $1000 just on the goods do not get tax.

Yes I shipped over some parts for my Webber which I couldn't get here. Also Webber doesn't ship to Australia. They can also quote you the freight to Australia.
