Eisenmann Exhaust - my ears
I love the sound it makes mid to high in the rev range, but the drone around 15000-2500rpms (where the gearbox sits at when I cruise with Alpina flash)...over it.
Runnings catless dps, stock mids and Eisenmann quads. Can someone recommend a exhaust workshop in Sth East Melbourne? I'm thinking to install some long resonators after secondary cats ...any other suggestions would be great. Thanks lads. |

Im in the same boat as you, Im running catless dps and BMW PE exhaust and the light drone at freeway driving is starting to get to me as well. I took mine to an exhaust shop and they wanted to take out the secondary cats to put in resonators.
Id like to keep the secondary cats in but where else can you put resonators. |

You could try buying an e90 335i mid section, that has a resonator instead of an Xpipe in the e92, might kill off the drone. People usually want the e92 xpipe so you could do a straight trade.

Interesting suggestions...what does the x pipe do? Messing with the layout of the exhaust reminds me of the butterfly effect movie, I don't want any negative
repercussions from removing items... One exhaust shop I went to said there's hardly any room to work in there and couldn't find a appropriate spot, but I know it's possible because the US guys do it - I think the issue is the "spot" is under a brace mid way down the exhaust mid pipe. Perhaps I just need a good exhaust shop? |
