Pleas help: Massive white smoke from exhaust

I drive 2005 E90 320i, 116,000KM done.

A week ago I had engine digonotic light came on, so I went to local mechanic.
He advised oil was very low, & leaking, & I should get it fixed.
He said replaced Rocker Cover Gasket replaced.& test drived it. Car was running fine, & I should take it home, eventhough engine digonotic light was still there.

While I was driving home I could see smoke comming up from the bonnet, & took it back to him.
Mechanic said it was just excess oil burning, ran the scan, test drove it & told me all should be fine.

Engine digonotic scan result was:
2A67 - Valvetronic internal fault
2A68 – Valvetronic, Powe limitation, Servo Motor
2A59 - Valvetronic, Eccentric Shaft Sensor.
2A5B - Valvetronic, Eccentric Shaft Sensor
Clear Fault code rechecke – No fault code returned

When I picked up my car, drove to home, and when I pop the hood, I could still see oil droping onto
exhaust pipe and burning. I went back to the mechanic, and he told me oil was still leaking from oil pressure switch cover, and had it replaced, test drove it again, and told me everything was fine.

Well it wasn't!!! Drove aboout 3km, & I notice rattling sound comming from the car, and suddenly cloud of white smoke comming from the exhaust, big enough to cover all four lanes.

I can't trust mechanic anymore, and went to indipendent BMW specialist, and they told me to fix:
Cam cover oil leak. (Damp)Bush seal not been replaced
Oil filter cap leaking
Solenoid o'ring leaking
Oil filter housing oil leak
Vac pump oil leak.(Bad)
Possible sump oil leak
Recommed valve stem oil seals be replaced the same time cam cover repair done.
Recommend PCV valve be replaced, possible carbon build up inside the valve, both will be the cause of engine smoke.

And told me it will cost $3000 to fix above.

Can some one please help me and advise:

1. Will my car be running fine after fixing above?

2. Could local mechanic have done something to my car to cause any problem?
Never had smoke, or sound, or any other problem before this, and mechanic agreed to pay for the new fix, if anyone can prove he's could've caused this

3. Is $3000 reasonable for above service?

Thanx in advance for your help
