Anyone get a COBB yet?
Like the title states, anyone local get a COBB yet?
I really want one but would like some more real world feedback before I drop $900. Share your experiences if you have. |

Depending on your mods I would wait. They only have stage 1, They have a ways to go b4 they come out with a power level that is comparable to the v4/v5 or the jb4. When they release a stage 2 map or their ATR I am going to give it a try. Until, I will be sporting the Procede. I look forward to any results on Map 1 on 93 though...bump for that.

I'm interested in trying it, but I will have to wait for later stages and 2007 support. Probably going to be a few months or so before they have a stage for race fuel or meth on full bolt on cars.

And by that time I will have a custom tuned Procede I cant wait for the new maps and the extra power! Only another week or 2...Cobb has their work cut out for them. Any addition to the market only makes things get better, so keep um coming! I will ask Dan at Mach V if he has sold one yet, he had a couple last week when I was up there on the dyno. Maybe he can test one out on his car...his is bone stock right now.

Reputable company in the D/I world and certainly innovators in the Mazda, Subaru, and Mitsubishi markets. Looks like a promising product! APs are great.

I'm planning on getting one once the 2007's are supported. I had one in my Subaru LGT and it worked great.

Like Penn, I'm gonna wait and see....I like my JB3 (soon to have JB4).....not going to just jump in until I see that it makes more power (or better power) than my piggy.

From reading up on the Cobb Flash access port, and some of the numbers it put down it looked pretty impressive. Granted it is more then the JB, put I believe the stage 2 will be able to put down more power than the JB. I know Cobb has been great on a lot of JDM cars. I'm looking forward to seeing the new products from Cobb, and seeing what they do in our DTM Market.

For me personally, I think the COBB stage 1 is going to fit my circumstances just fine given that I am all stock. I may add a DCI but thats about it.
I totally agree in regards to those who are waiting for stage 2 and more bolt on friendly maps. But in regards to overall ease of use, worry free tuner codes and smooth get up I think i found a winner. |

I totally agree with the worry free of codes from reading what the Cobb Flash does. That's why I'm definitely considering a Cobb once they do a little more research and tuning, and I'm also waiting to see what the Cobb stage 2 numbers will be.

JB is definitely fun!!! Makes a huge difference from stock. That Cobb Tune though is looking very appealing. I think I'm going to need more power here eventually lol!!!

I installed one on my car. So far, so good. No codes. Better throttle response, especially down low. I have...erm...traction problems now. Penn can relate, I'm sure.

Looks pretty good. I think this is what my next purchase will be, but probably in the spring where I can burn through my summer tires.

Coming from the Subaru world, I'd feel really comfortable putting an Accessport tune on my car. I bought my WRX new in '05 and bought an AccessPort not long thereafter. I remember my dealer was fascinated by the little device. I'm not so sure BMW dealers around here would have the same feeling though Plus, my parents live right by Agile Auto (sorry Dan!). I wonder if they're tuning AP's for 335s yet.

What til you start putting all the bolt-on's on your car. If I were you I would get the quaife LSD and m3 rear subframe bushings to eliminate wheel-hop. Have you experienced much yet. I wanted to get mine installed up there but it seems you guys dont have the tools, might be a good investment with all of the upgraded turbo sets coming out this year The videos from our weekend up there look good, thanks for posting both runs. I will be coming back up there soon when I get my HPF exhaust(tuesday) and my snow failsafe(next week sometime) in so I can run meth and 17psi. I am shooting for 430whp and 460wtq with race+meth. Another psi or so and I should be close. Keep us updated as you continue the build on your car.

How does it feel compare to the JB or Vishnu? What type of tires are you looking for? I have a set of pretty much brand new runflats for the front I'm trying to get ride of. They have 90 percent tread life. I also have a set of rears as well that I'd let go dirt cheap due to the fact they will have to be replaced in a couple thousand miles more than likely.
