Is it sad.

To be attached to your car? Sold my beloved 335d last week and I'm still pining for it. Driving around in the other halves clio for a few weeks before emigrating to oz and feel pretty sad when I look outside then realising its not there.

She's told me to 'get a f**ing grip*. Never thought I;d feel this way about a diesel of all things.

Yes, it is very sad.

I'd be the same.

My wife cried real tears when we sold her car some years ago. It was a Renault Scenic!!!

Many years ago when I had more money than sense I wasted about £20,000 'tarting up' a Rover 200Vi. It was the 2nd car I ever owned and I wanted it to be different. I took it to car shows and it sat on stands getting attention from spotty teeneagers and annoying people with the stupidly loud ICE system I'd installed. But I loved that car. When I sold it I stood and watched it drive off down the road with a new owner and I'd be telling fibs if I said I didn't have a small lump in my throat...I've grown up a lot since then though.

I haven't been attached to a car like that since, although I do really like my 335D...I'll be sad to see it go unless I step up to an M3...

I was sad when my Civic Type-r went. I sold it when the wife was out, and when she got home and saw it not there, even she said she felt weird about it.

Good times mate, good times... So many things I could have spent the money on and I chose fibreglass and amplifiers....

These days if I was going to spend any kind of serious money it'd be on performance.

I get very attached to my cars.. Always have done.. Only one I have fallen out of love with was/is my Fiesta RS Turbo, which I still have tucked away in the garage.

Very much in love with the E46 M3, it's a wonderful looking car that delivers so much driver satisfaction. I really enjoy it so much.

I've never really been sad to see a car go, it's usually accompanied by a new one! There was one time I couldn't afford to run a car so I just gave it to my Dad, but that didn't really count as I still had access to it when needed
