Talking Busted Lip to Face Lift

As some of you know, I damaged my aero lip late last year.

Size: 103.0 KBTo make matters worst, I flew off the road (drifting) and damage the bottom after removing the lip. I already thought about switching up the car this year for MFest with an Alpina lip, but since my bumper was now damaged, it was time for a new game plan. I was a bit scared of buying a rep bumper, but after reading JStang review I figured it was worth a shot. I hit up Jay at JGMODS and placed an order. I got to say, I was impressed before I even saw the bumper by how great it was packaged. It arrived with everything need and fit with no issues. Just watch the oil cooler duct when placing the bumper on, it will be in the way but can be pulled down to fitName: MSport Front (5).jpg

Special thanks to:
Jay @ JGMODS for the lovely bumper and drm916 for pointing out the oil cooler duct to me.

Proper photo shoot coming soon.

Hi, Manny World

you didn't Change to the M Brake and oil duct right? I am doing the conversion too, wondering if it is fine without changing them. Please let me know!

Thanks!

Nope, no need to change the ducts with the m sport bumper. Everything fits and function as it should. Only time when people change out their ducts for m ducts are when they get the m3 bumper.

What about the M sport ducts? Does the oil temperature stay the same as before?
So you just leave the OEM duct on, and they still function well on M sport bumper right?

Cuz I saw the DIY post for M sport front bumper, I am kinda worried about the air flow for the oil cooler. I heard the brake duct don`t do much on reducing brake hear, cuz the vent faces tires....

Thanks!!!

It depends on where you get the bumper. JGMODS rep allow you to use your OEM ducts and parts and tischer sale the OEM kit that comes with new fender liners, ducts, underbody cover, etc. My temps haven't change and my OEM ducts are working as they should.

I bought a used OEM M sport Bumper (bumper only). So in my case, do I need the brake & oil ducts?
I thought JGMODS and OEM are the exactly same shape.

Thanks!!

Bump for a great thread.

So you were able to get everything to work on your e92 without ordering anything other then the JG mods bumper?

I saw another thread were a member with an e90 had to order a few extra pieces from the dealer to get the bumper to fit correctly with the ducts. But this was a e90 (sedan). Maybe the sedan vs coupe is different?

Thanks, not too familiar with the e90 bumper. JGMods sent everything you need for the swap. The only other thing I purchase was the right (passenger side) fog support so my brake and oil cooler ducts could remain functional which was like $6 from TMS. If you have a 328i or don't mind modding the fog support included, you're golden .

Legit. Gonna order from JGmods when they get more in stock. Such a sexy front bumper.
