well there are not to many other mods besides Tuning and DP's that make much power..... so i would assume its safe to say you would see about these gains with just a piggy back and DP's...

of course exhaust will help.

And how much is the intake helping out on the power?

At this point, putting on the stock intake box would probably cost us 30-40whp.

You're trying to tell me the exhaust and intake had nothing to do with it? Didn't shivs car make 400hp with just the exhaust and intake? That's rhetorical.

I agree. I'm not going to keep the catted downpipes in my car. All my other cars pass tailpipe sniff tests. I don't want this to be an exception. But we will make a good map for it for those who choose to do so.

On race gas, yes. The most peak power my car makes on pump gas, with stock DPs, was 365-375whp peak. And power dropped to 310-320whp at 7000rpm. Now it peaks at 385-395whp and holds 370-375whp at 7000rpm. That's some serious power under the curve when accelerating hard through the gears.

It remains to be seen, but I suspect we'll see 117-118mph trap speeds on pump gas at a real drag strip. Or maybe 148-149mph on a G-tech/Vbox

On race gas, who knows?

so your saying with the stock intake you would lose 30-40whp?

Without actually trying it, that would be my guess based upon earlier tests. But I'm just guessing here. FWIW, I would never consider trying to make more than 350-355 whp without some sort of intake upgrade.

Intake available soon? What benefit level for people that have not yet purchased downpipes?

you said you were running 94%, but this is on whats going to be 2.0.3 or the current 2.0.2...also will there be a 'At you own risk' map where we can get as much torque as possible?

I hope it doesn't sound like a "12-amp vacuum" as Terry referenced with the open diy intake.

Yea that's some crazy gains, was the 365-75 with the intake and exhaust? 90-40 is 60 so no?

+1

Shiv - what about the high flow cats? If you look at UR's Dynos on stock ECU, the power differential between catted and catless DP was very minimal.

That implies that the flow characteristics are pretty similar.

Does that mean you can use the same catless map on a car with catted DPs?

I put extended bungs in my DP's and i havent thrown codes or gone into limp mode on the procede... You can do this until shiv fixes the o2 code problems...

Negative on that one. Tried it on my E90 335i that had UR catless DPs and exhaust. It didn't work at all. Besides, I know I have progman v27 something since my car is a 2008 E92, so there's no wishful thinking about my car not catching the missing cats. Maybe now shiv can bang out the DP map and O2 simm in the same map.

335iheLLraiseR-- No ETA on the map yet. It's based on a tweaked version of v2.0.2. No big changes to it. But we aren't done yet so no release date.

335lvr-- Production intakes are being made right now. Should have them ready to do within 4-6 weeks. Price will be very affordable. I can say no more.

jpsimon-- We should see another 10whp on 93-94oct with no change in boost pressure (same exact map). Just through adaptation alone.

sambonator-- The built-in o2 simulator feature is working right now. Just running it through its paces. One of those things which need some time to fully test out. The nice thing about it is that it is programmable. Love the emoticon, btw. That is sooo going to get me laid. "Hey baby, I'm famous. They even have an icon of my face on the internet."

ArmyBimmerDude--- I hope to test catted version of the DP soon. There will definitely be a different map for it. Big changes... especially in the 6000-7000rpm where catless really seems to help in a huge.

Mr. 5--- Boost pattern for this map is 11-12psi up to ~3000rpm, up to 13psi by 4000rpm, down to 11psi by 4500rpm and then ramping gradually up to 14.9psi by 5000rpm and holding it 6500rpm and then ramping down to 14psi by 7000rpm. It is not flat. If it were, the torque curve wouldn't be as flat as it is. This is with User Tq set to 94% across the board. User Tq values are pretty arbitrary at this point as it all depends on the scaling we decide to go with in the final mapping. Of course, we will leave some extra room for race gas. But I think we will limit torque to 400lbft just for the sake of driveline longevity. No need to make 440+lbft of torque in the low end. Just unneeded stress on the bottom end, clutch and differential.

E90ice-- We have already made 420-430whp before on race gas with stock downpipes. We can certainly make more now but we were already uncomfortably close to the limits of the factory fuel system. Any more power would be silly until we address that limitation.

scottp999-- The intake is a big power adder with v2. Even with stock downpipes running pump gas.

BoLaS-- We might offer a unlimited torque map if there is enough demand for it. But I'd rather not at this point. It's real nice limiting torque as it keeps the engine knock resistant while still able to make tons of power up top.

335lvr-- I never though the intakes sounded like that. I think Terry just started to say that after he found out that I made the ones he has on his car

rideelement247-- The fully programmable built-in o2 sim feature is being tested right now. Will need some more road time before I would consider it done and ready for customers.

Cheers,
Shiv
