2011 CPO 335i purchase advice
Looking at purchasing a CPO'd 2011 335i with less than 40k miles. based on the in-service date the CPO will end on 12/31/2017. It appears that the prior owner bought the matching maintenance plan, so that will be in effect through the end of the year, for what it's worth. I asked for the service records which are below.
I'm new to Bimmers and am a bit reluctant to purchase a 335i with a short CPO. That being said, it seems that with the mileage, and packages (sport and premium), it is priced well. Part of me wants to take the gamble, put it through its paces during the warranty period and try to get it all sorted before the end of the year. The other part of me says look into extending the warranty, while a third part says walk away. Btw, this will be a daily driver with about 40 mile commute each way. What say you? The only things that would worry me is that waterpump will likely need to be replaced in the next 20k and that doesn't look like injectors have ever been replaced? Find out what version they are I think we are up to index 13 now.. Maybe try to get them to replace as part of the deal or just negotiate on price.
I think it will be solid for the most part. |
