Shot of new e92 M3 next to my e92 335i

Look what showed up at last night BMW social here in Columbia, MD.

First thing I noticed......M3 needs a new exhaust and it needs to be lowered badly, surprised it sat so high. Other than that.....me want!

Sticker on this was one was $67.2k.

NOTICE RS4 IN BACKGROUND

LOVE THIS SHOT....20+ YRS OF BMW HERITAGE

BEAUTIFUL RS4 THAT JOINED US

and of course....my 335

Wow..nice pic! I've been waiting to see a side by side like this. I can honestly say that your car looks 100% better than the M. The hood bulge, wheels and ride height detroy the look of the M. Although the back on the M is nice

The one thing that carries the M3 is of course the "M" designation. With regards to design, I expect most BMW design engineers to concede there is a elegance and sophistication with the 335i that is lost by the more tricked up design of the M3. But to be honest, I am still thinking of the M3 instead of the 335i only because I told myself I would do the M once I finished school.

Sniz, Nice shots...What are you lowered on KW V2's I would assume? Or straight up H&R's?

Agree with Samifumi - if it was a 400i rather than an M3 would people be drooling? The looks are growing on me, especially IB on black with the 19's, but the 335i is a simple, understated and elegant piece of design for a lot less money.

I do prefer the M3 without the CF roof though - I appreciate the tech, but the aesthetics are better without it in my opinion.

Love the CSL's on your 335i though, if I go 335 rather than M3 it'll be montego, CSL's and the M-Tech kit.

i agree, saw one in person... it better drive like a monster compared to the 335i, otherwise what the point, rear is sick though

well it needs a new exhaust anyway, the sound did not impress me in the least, especially when cruising.
