Personally I couldn't stand driving a Mustang with a V-6, that lovely straight six sound and smoothness is a big part of the BMW appeal to me. But that may be just me.

IRS is good, too - are any of the mustangs *not* live axle?

Personally I don't think that driving a 330 would be "settling" in any way. My ex has a E46 330xi and I think it's a great little car. If she hadn't bought it I probably would have bought it myself. But I ended up with a E92 335i instead, poor me

After driving his E46 M3 I want more power but there isn't anything out there like a BMW. But then again I only have 255 hp and the mustang v6 comes with 305 hp. I'll have to spend a lot on my car to make it faster and even then it won't be as fast as a v6 mustang. I was planning on installing Coilovers, Intake, Headers, Quads, Mtech Body, AA tune, etc within the year but I'm now considering just going with a Mustang... what would you guys do? Mustang or stick with my 330 and throw all the mods on? Don't really want to leave the euro scene lol. If the argument is just for looks the e90 wins but I honestly don't mind for looks, let's keep performance in mind. Thanks guys!
I just bought a 335 selling a 2011 Mustang GT with the new 5.0L
The car was a beast... but extremely unrefined... fastest thing I've ever personally owned though.

I'm now learning that my 335 with a few simple bolt ons and a tune could keep up with if not at least get pretty close to a stock 5.0GT.

If I was you I'd go for another BMW but this time trade up to a 335. even if its a little older.

just my two cents. I loved my mustang, but it was a whole different world. I dont think I'da ever even considered the V6.. the power in that car was the only thing that made it worth it, and I can't imagine the v6 version even with 306hp felt as nice as a BMW to drive. (even if u do "only" have a 330)

I just learned the hard way the 5.0's even with the bigger engine aint holdin up well in value... wait another year or two and if u really want one, could probably still get a 5.0 for a straight trade for your car, i'm gonna assume the BMW will hold value a little better while the mustang by then will have totally tanked.

True it probably will hold a little longer but its depreciated fast with the new models coming out, I think you guys convinced me to keep my 330. But I won't be looking at a 335 anytime soon, if I were to get one I'd get it low mileage and I can't afford that right now. Thanks for your help!

thats a good point you bring up there about the LRA ---

If you ever intend on lowering it, i mean even an inch... plan on driving the worst riding car you've ever been in. I mean its ROUGH.

I really did like the car, but I dont think at least after all the mods i did to it, that it was a practical daily driver anymore...

I'd consider buying a used GT500 some day though for a weekend toy.

Here is what mine looked like..

I've had my heart set on a 2011 with the 5.0 for a good three years and I test drove the 2013 model in April. Then I bought the 335 and never looked back.

everything about the stang was unrefined and I felt like I was driving a truck.

The dealbreaker was the interior. Oh the interior...

bottom line, to me the 335i package as a whole and how it makes me feel is more important than any single trait the mustang may have. And with the tune, I can't ask for any more performance in my daily driver.

What was the slogan? Ford. Drive one? didn't work for me.

had mine for 2 years, and concur with this entire statement. But man was it a head turner...(not that there aren't other cars, 335 or otherwise that can't also be head turners)

The power was intoxicating... granted I've never driven a modded 335 and theres no reason to suggest that there cannot be MORE than enough power in a 335 (even in stock form) to be just as intoxicating in an equally awesome but different way.

Feeling a little nostalgic now (only been gone for 2 weeks lol) so here are a few more pics of "Rogue" if anyone cares to see it:

And this was considered an agressive drop... sportline springs... worst riding 'lowered' car I've ever had. And I've had some pretty slammed cars in my past... had these and got rid of both at the same time I bought the Mustang...

I've heard that that they're very underrated also. But they get about 205whp which is disheartening lol

I see ur point... but in my opinion you buy a BMW for more than just brute power... theres just something about the way they drive that you'll never be able to replicate in a mustang no matter what you mod it with.

So i think it really boils down to taste and whats important to you. You absolutely get the power with the mustang, but it comes at the expense of any single shread of refinement, fairly stripped down crappy dealer service, etc.. .etc... etc...

No I graduated but I don't really care about the girl show-off thing, I've been with my girl before I got my car. But I've already decided I'm sticking with my car. Most of the reason was because its still a ford and bmw is...bmw lol. But anyways bmw isn't exclusive anymore but girls don't know that hahahah

True, no car I've ever driven drives like a BMW. And thats also true but I've never been to the dealership lol car's out of warranty. Looked at some specs too and a mustang weighs in at 4500lbs...I thought my xdrive was heavy...So I'm sticking with good ol' Günter/Branchy/Heimlich
