Hey Dark Knight

I too went to Morristown BMW to have them fix a rattle noise from my E93's roof. They did a good job. They inserted some washers and tightened up a few screws etc. I can now bounce over NY's finest potholes with nary a rattle.
Hope you came right with them ..

Hey submariner what's up man? That is really good to know!!

Tim actually told me yesterday they were putting a master tech on the case because they wanted it fixed 110%.

There's also like a whirring whining rattle between 1-2 rpm's when the car is fully warmed up that they're supposed to look into, and a metallic- like rattle coming from the drivers side door, along with the sound coming from the back deck when it's cold like styrofoam egg cartons squeaking

I dropped it off Thursday night and kept it through Friday so I'm sure they're giving it all their efforts.

I haven't seen those guys in a while so I figured I'd pay them a visit- yes they are always spot on- excellent folks!

I know we have convertibles and there are little squeaks and rattles here and there that we must put up with due to the nature of our cars, but these three sounds are definitely pronounced and definitely not normal!

I picked up a new vert 335is with 7000 miles on it. Little did I know when I hit like 7500 i got a really bad driver side a-piller clunk, I mean bad to the point where even loud music wouldn't help. Took it to BMW and took them two tries to fix it. That problem has disappeared completely (have a repair report for who ever has this same problem)

At 11,000 miles I started hearing that squeaky rattle in the passenger side c pillar. It's getting really bad because when I accelerate from 1000-3500 rpm it's a whiney squeak. I booked an appointment with BMW for Thursday to get this resolved and I'll for sure keep you guys posted!

We will see how I make out next week with Morristown BMW. I am hopeful.
Actually pretty scary how we all have the same issue- I mean don't they adjust this kind of stuff from the factory?

What the hell? I requested my dealer to install the washer just like the bulletin board and both dealers refused to do that, they insist the newer model won't need it.

Can you share the repair order if you don't mind? Want to know what they did to the driver side cluking noise.

TIA

Dark Knight,

Thank you so much for the posting but I got the words from my lemon law attorney that BMW will buy back my car and I'm in the process of getting all paper works prepare to return the vehicle back to BMWNA.
I wish my local dealers are willing to listen to their customers and fix the problem instead they just pass the puck and walk away from it. Any how I'm glad it's over and I can proceed with my car search in next couple of weeks. I found a 2011 left over inventory 335i at my local dealer with Msport, premium & nav for $52K, color is space grey & blk interior is this a good deal? List is $61890 and they are willing to move this car at $52K should I be all over it?
Your feed back are much appreciated.

Congrats on your success. Honestly, when my car is operating as intended, I can't imagine owning any other car. Maybe the M3 version, that's it! I love it to death. Right now I'm in communications with bmwna about extending my cpo warranty to cover my top. Fingers crossed.

BMWNA inform my attorney that the email sent to his office was an error so I'm back on square one and await for settlement for a buy back, who's know how long this process was?
